Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy- also known as “talk therapy”, is where clients work one-on-one with a therapist—in a supportive and confidential environment to work toward desired change.

People seek therapy for a wide variety of personal challenges such as dating and relationships, depression or anxiety, academic and occupational transitions, emerging adulthood, low self-esteem, or simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge.

The work together leads to clients emerging feeling stronger and empowered, which ultimately enhances their ability to connect on a more intimate level in all interpersonal relationships.

Sessions are approximately 45 minutes in length.

Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy- is where partners work together as a team, seeing ‘the relationship’ as the problem, rather than the individuals. No matter what stage of a relationship- dating, newly engaged, married, new parents and/or long-time partners, they all have varied and complex issues.

Many couples that come to therapy think they know everything about their partner. Through joint and individual sessions, we work together to uncover what you don’t know about yourselves or each other; I encourage you to be curious, and to rediscover each other’s longings and desires.

Couples therapy helps clients address a variety of issues including:

Communication
Intimacy
Affairs/Infidelity Break-up/Separation/Divorce Parenting & Co-Parenting Remarriage/Blended Families Finances

Couples therapy isn’t just for people who want to work to find a better way to be together. For some, it’s about figuring out the right path for you, how to separate peacefully, how to co-parent while being divorced. There is a ‘healthy’ way to separate, and together we can do just that!

Sessions are approximately 60 minutes in length.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy- is a method used to treat emotional problems by focusing on the whole family rather than just the “problem” member of the family.

Families are only as healthy as the whole family system. If one member of a family is suffering– parents, kids, even extended family, it can have a profound effect on everyone within the system. Sessions focus on understanding individual’s thoughts, feelings and experiences within the family dynamic. This leads to individuals and the whole family feeling understood and supported. Relationships are restored and healed, leaving the family working better together as a team.

A wide array of issues may be treated in family therapy, including:

Marital conflict that affects children Separation/Divorce Blended-families & Step-parenting Behavioral or school difficulties Sibling relationships

Sessions are approximately 50 minutes.
